Taxoon privacy policy

Taxoon is an app by Oleksandr Halchyn that helps a Ukrainian tax resident work out the tax on investments held with a foreign broker. This policy explains what happens to your data.

Your data stays on your phone

Everything you enter (operations, deposits, the NBU rates stored with them, attached files such as broker invoices, and settings) is stored on your device, and in your own Google Drive only if you sign in with Google. Taxoon has no servers and no accounts of its own. It contains no ads, no analytics and no crash reporting, and the developer never receives your data.

Internet use

Taxoon connects to the internet only for these features:

  • NBU exchange rates: downloaded from the National Bank of Ukraine (bank.gov.ua). A request contains only a currency code and a date, none of your data.
  • Google Drive backups and the Google Sheet (optional): see "Google sign-in" below.
  • Google Play: the app asks Google Play whether a newer version is available, and Rate on Google Play opens its page in the Play Store. What Google Play receives is Google's, under Google's privacy policy.

Google sign-in (optional)

If you sign in with Google in Settings, Taxoon asks Google for three things only:

  • Drive's app data folder (drive.appdata): a hidden folder in your own Google Drive that only Taxoon can open. Taxoon saves backups of your data there when you ask, and once a day if Daily backup is on, keeping the last 3.
  • Files Taxoon creates (drive.file): the Google Sheet "Taxoon", which Taxoon creates in your Drive when you ask and then keeps up to date with your operations, a tab per year. Taxoon can't see or open any other file in your Drive.
  • Your email address: to show which account is signed in.

The backups and the sheet go from your phone to your Google Drive; the developer never receives them. Sign out in Settings → Backups and data, or Reset app, forgets the account on your phone and stops new backups and sheet updates; the backups and the sheet stay in your Drive until you delete them. To remove Taxoon's access and its backups, go to Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Taxoon, or your Google Account → Security → Third-party connections.

Taxoon's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data from Google is used only to provide these features to you, is never sold, never used for advertising, and never transferred to anyone else.

Permissions and other features

  • Attached files: files you pick (for example broker invoices) are copied into Taxoon's own storage on your phone and included in its backups.
  • App lock: handled by Android. Taxoon never receives your fingerprint or PIN.
  • Declaration PDF: made on your phone and saved where you choose.

Backups to a file

Backups to a file are zip files saved where you choose with the system file picker. They are not encrypted. Keep them somewhere safe.

Deleting your data

Settings → Backups and data → Reset app deletes everything Taxoon stored on your phone and signs out of Google. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your phone. Backups in Google Drive and the Google Sheet are deleted in Google Drive, as described above.

Not tax advice

Taxoon calculates from what you enter, under the rules described in the app. Check the results and the declaration yourself or with a tax adviser.

Children

Taxoon is not directed at children.

Taxoon — застосунок від Олександра Гальчина, який допомагає податковому резиденту України розрахувати податок з інвестицій в іноземного брокера. Тут пояснено, що відбувається з вашими даними.

Ваші дані залишаються на телефоні

Усе, що ви вводите (операції, поповнення, збережені з ними курси НБУ, додані файли, як-от інвойси брокера, і налаштування), зберігається на вашому пристрої, а у вашому Google Drive — лише якщо ви увійдете через Google. У Taxoon немає власних серверів і облікових записів. Немає реклами, аналітики чи звітів про збої, і розробник ніколи не отримує ваших даних.

Використання інтернету

Taxoon підʼєднується до інтернету лише для цих функцій:

  • Курси НБУ: завантажуються з Національного банку України (bank.gov.ua). Запит містить лише код валюти й дату, жодних ваших даних.
  • Резервні копії в Google Drive і Google Таблиця (необовʼязково): див. «Вхід через Google» нижче.
  • Google Play: застосунок питає в Google Play, чи є новіша версія, а «Оцінити в Google Play» відкриває його сторінку в Play Маркеті. Те, що отримує Google Play, належить Google відповідно до політики конфіденційності Google.

Вхід через Google (необовʼязково)

Якщо ви входите через Google у Налаштуваннях, Taxoon просить у Google лише три речі:

  • Папку даних застосунку в Drive (drive.appdata): приховану папку у вашому власному Google Drive, яку може відкрити лише Taxoon. Taxoon зберігає там резервні копії ваших даних на ваш запит і раз на день, якщо ввімкнено щоденну копію, залишаючи останні 3.
  • Файли, які створює Taxoon (drive.file): Google Таблицю «Taxoon», яку Taxoon створює у вашому Drive на ваш запит і далі оновлює вашими операціями, аркуш на рік. Інших файлів у вашому Drive Taxoon не бачить і не відкриває.
  • Вашу адресу електронної пошти: щоб показати, який обліковий запис підключено.

Копії й таблиця передаються з телефона у ваш Google Drive; розробник їх не отримує. «Вийти» в Налаштування → Резервні копії й дані або «Скинути застосунок» забувають обліковий запис на телефоні й зупиняють нові копії та оновлення таблиці; наявні копії й таблиця залишаються у вашому Drive, доки ви їх не видалите. Щоб забрати доступ Taxoon і видалити його копії, відкрийте Google Drive → Налаштування → Керування застосунками → Taxoon або свій обліковий запис Google → Безпека → Сторонні підключення.

Використання й передавання Taxoon інформації, отриманої від API Google, відповідає Правилам щодо даних користувачів сервісів Google API, зокрема вимогам щодо обмеженого використання (Limited Use). Дані від Google використовуються лише для цих функцій для вас, ніколи не продаються, не використовуються для реклами й нікому не передаються.

Дозволи та інші функції

  • Додані файли: файли, які ви вибираєте (наприклад, інвойси брокера), копіюються у власне сховище Taxoon на телефоні й потрапляють до його резервних копій.
  • Блокування застосунку: обробляє Android. Taxoon ніколи не отримує ваш відбиток чи PIN-код.
  • PDF для декларації: створюється на телефоні й зберігається туди, куди ви вкажете.

Резервні копії у файл

Резервні копії у файл — це zip-файли, які зберігаються туди, куди ви вкажете через системний вибір файлів. Вони не зашифровані. Зберігайте їх у надійному місці.

Видалення даних

Налаштування → Резервні копії й дані → Скинути застосунок видаляє все, що Taxoon зберіг на телефоні, і виходить з Google. Видалення застосунку видаляє його дані з телефона. Копії в Google Drive і Google Таблиця видаляються в Google Drive, як описано вище.

Не податкова консультація

Taxoon рахує з того, що ви вводите, за правилами, описаними в застосунку. Перевіряйте результати й декларацію самостійно або з податковим консультантом.

Діти

Taxoon не призначений для дітей.
